Today being #CommonwealthDay I’m remembering the first time I went to #MarlboroughHouse (i.e. the organisation’s headquarters since 1962) in 2012 to use their library.
This was the venue of the #TrinidadAndTobago Independence Conference in May 1962 where our draft independence constitution was examined!
I remember meeting a government minister from Malaysia who had an appointment that day as well. Also met people from South Africa, Canada and Jamaica as well.
Happy Commonwealth Day to all 2.4 billion citizens of our broad and inclusive family.
